Overview

Kantaji Temple, one of the nation's most stunning temples, is situated 287 kilometers from the capital city of Dhaka. 

The 18th-century temple is situated around 12 kilometers north of Dinajpur town. 

One of the most exquisite temples from that time period is the one from the late medieval era. 

The Hindu god Krishna, Kanta, is the subject of the temple. 

The temple stands as a testament to God Krishna and his wife Rukmini's unending love for one another.

One of Bangladesh's finest terracotta art displays is the temple. 

The temple is covered in art and ornamentation on every surface, earning it recognition as a magnificent structure. 

Originally, the temple had nine spires, or "Nava-Ratna," but they were destroyed in the terrible earthquake of 1897.

How to go?

If you are coming from Dhaka, you must first go to the Dinajpur district. From there, there are three ways to get to Kantaji Temple. 

You can take a bus from Dhaka to Dinajpur operated by a number of bus companies, including Shyamoli Paribahan and Hanif Enterprise, as well as a train ( Bangladesh Railway). 

You can take a flight from Dhaka to Sayedpur Domestic Airport with Biman Bangladesh Airlines or US-Bangla Airlines if you're in a hurry.
